Today the weather won out and took with it half of the Electric Daisy Carnival’s day 2. At 12:45 PM, all six stages were shut down due to severe wind. We were watching Tommy Trash begin what was starting out to be an incredible set, when, 15 minutes in, the crew at Insomniac decided to make the tough call. Everyone was told that the shut down was a temporary precaution in order to insure all attendees’ safety and would reopen once the wind died down. Unfortunately, that never happened. Although everyone was seriously disappointed (mind you, that is easily an understatement), the overall sentiment was understanding. It was very clear that Insomniac’s first and foremost priority was the safety of the 100,000+ crowd, however it’s a huge disappointment for a night that was going to beat out day 1. We’re hoping that Mother Nature decides to be kind and let the party continue uninterrupted tomorrow. We’ll be on the ground giving you updates on day 3 via our Twitter (@bpmnetwork) so be sure to follow us there.
