Now in it’s fifth year, Nixon’s LTD Collection of watches just hit the streets. In case you’re not familiar, the Nixon LTD Collection began as a series of timepieces featuring leather watchbands created from the jackets, belts and guitar straps owned by peeps like Timberlake, J Lo, Tony Hawk, Pink, Anthony Kiedis, Slash and more. Like always, the proceeds will benefit two highly regarded charities. This year money goes to the Grammy Association’s MusiCares MAP Fund (established to aid with the addiction and recovery needs within the music community) and the Tony Hawk Foundation (aimed at helping children in need).
The original artwork was created using paint pens and hard rock maple, which was then inlaid to watch bands. The custom-engraved case features the designer’s name and includes a stamped serial number. It even comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and custom packaging. You can pick up the 2008 collection at select retailers worldwide, including Barneys locations in New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas and globally at Colette, Beams, Como and more.
